AIA Community uniting for good

From now until September 25, 2024, we are hosting a special fundraising campaign in support of the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Wisconsin.

As a special incentive, AIA will match all donations up to $5,000. So every dollar you give will have double the impact!

HELP KEEP FAMILIES CLOSE DURING THEIR MEDICAL JOURNEY

Our goal is to raise at least $5,000, representing critical funds that will allow this incredible organization to continue providing a "home-away-from-home" for families whose children are receiving medical treatment.

The Ronald McDonald House's mission is to keep families together and promote the health and well-being of children. They offer a place to call home at little or no cost, so families can stay close to their child during a difficult time. The House provides therapeutic programming, a comprehensive meal program, comfortable community spaces, and so much more to support these families.

We invite all of our Owners, Suppliers, and Employees to join us in supporting this worthy cause. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing unimaginable challenges.

Together, we can ensure that the Ronald McDonald House can continue being "The House that Love Built" for families in need.

GRATITUDE FOR BOUNDLESS COMPASSION & CARE

Cody & Kaitlin Williams - The Roberts Group

During our extended stay at Duke University Hospital in 2021 following open-heart surgery on our newborn son, the presence of the Ronald McDonald sponsored sleep rooms was a true blessing. It offered us a haven to freshen up, rest, and gather strength for the tough days that lay ahead. The opportunity to remain in proximity during such a challenging period provided solace, moments of quiet, and comfort.

The accommodations and assistance between Ronald McDonald House and the nurses played a crucial role in helping us navigate through those trying times, and we hold deep gratitude for the boundless compassion and care we encountered during our stay. It genuinely felt like a much-needed sanctuary away from home, enabling us to concentrate on the most crucial aspect – the health and recovery of our baby boy.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME IN OUR TIME OF NEED

Melissa Haen - AIA Corporation Senior Experience Marketing Manager

When Melissa and her husband Jesse’s twin boys, Lincoln and Nolan, were born prematurely in 2013,  facing an extended stay in the NICU, the Ronald McDonald House in Omaha, Nebraska became a lifeline for her and her husband.

Melissa and her husband Jesse lived two hours away from the hospital where their sons were receiving care in the NICU resulting from Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome. With Jesse only able to visit on weekends due to work, Melissa spent over 2 months living at the Ronald McDonald House while Lincoln spent 56 days and Nolan spent 77 days in the NICU.

"The Ronald McDonald House was a blessing to our family," Melissa shared. "If we had to pay for a hotel during their stay, it would have been a huge financial burden. But at the house, I had a comfortable place to call home at little to no cost, so I could stay close to my boys."

Beyond just providing accommodations, the House became a vital support system for Melissa. "Having the other families there kept me company and gave me a support system I never knew I needed during that difficult time," she said. "I am forever thankful for the home away from home the Ronald McDonald House Omaha provided."
